Foodeast-Haumako welcomes first tenant
The first tenant has moved into Foodeast-Haumako with more expected to be announced over the coming months.
Foodeast-Haumako chief executive Michael Bassett-Foss says having the first tenant in place and making good progress on further opportunities so soon after the completion of construction is very positive.
The move of logistics company JMP Holdings New Zealand from Napier to Foodeast-Haumako coincides with a shift by General Manager Aidan Te Hiko from Christchurch to Hawke’s Bay.
He is excited to be the inaugural tenant, and looking forward to working alongside forward-thinking companies as more businesses move to the site.
JMP is heavily involved in container care and logistics, supplying customers with fast, cost-effective, safe and efficient solutions for exporting food and wine beverages from New Zealand and facilitating national shipping, including 20-foot and 40-foot eco-friendly container liners, which prevent wine and food from spoiling due to heat, and Flexi Tanks, ideal for containing liquids such as wine and cooking oils.
Furthermore, JMP offers many more innovative products to support efficient and sustainable logistics solutions, says Mr Te Hiko.
The company has a dedicated team across Auckland, Wellington, Nelson and Christchurch and now at Foodeast-Haumako.
Mr Te Hiko, who was born and raised in Maraenui, is no stranger to Hawke’s Bay. Now back in the Bay with his young family, he is fully engaged in managing the business started by Paul Anderson in 2005.
